Sunrise Health programs are developmentally appropriate, activity and play-based and designed to meet the goals established for your child.
All of the programs are run at the practice rooms at 84 William Street, Port Macquarie or can be tailor made to your schools' needs and delivered in your school! Take a look at the Happy Clients! page to see feedback received from these programs.
SPOT on Kids small group programs are run by a Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist . The six session programs incorporates speech, language, organisation, fine motor, gross motor and visual perception skills in a fun environment. The groups are run with children at similar developmental stages with encouragement, fun and skill development being the focus of the program.
SPOT on Kids will benefit children with:
- Language and Motor skill challenges
- Reading, handwriting and spelling difficulties
- Learning Difficulties
Currently 3 programs are running for the following ages;
- Junior- Kindergarten to Year 2
- Senior- Year 3 to Year 6
- Secondary- Year 7 to Year 10

Program 2: Write to it!
Learn the fundamentals of handwriting through fun activities. Break the cycle of bad pencil grips, writing slowly, poor posture and just not wanting to write.
Designed for children K-Yr 2.
Enrolment in the program is through referral by an Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist.
Training workshops and Consultancy services are designed for schools, parents, community groups and government organisations to meet the professional development needs of the staff and to enhance the knowledge of parents and carers. Setting up for Success is a classroom and small group organisation program which works through organisation challenges children face within a school and home environment. The program contains activities to complete within a classroom and within a small group. Tips Sheets are provided to teachers, parents and students for reinforcement of skills. Through fun and informative activities, the students will learn how to organise themselves by using the Stop/Goal/Plan/Do/Check model to increase success and independence.

Wiggle While You Learn is an interactive program that works on developing the skills of teachers and students. It incorporates the trialing of strategies to help students sit and focus, be able to work without being distracted and to efficiently process information received through the senses.
Wiggle While You Learn opens people’s minds to different teaching strategies and allows children to explore what their bodies need to help them learn and focus better.
