Commencement of Speech Pathology Services

A big welcome to Speech Pathologist Melinda Rogan who has joined the Sunrise Health team.  Melinda comes to us with a wealth of expertise and experience in working with children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and other additional needs.  Melinda is providing services at Sunrise Health to children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis.  Her training and special interest (no pun intended!) in the Floortime model adds a wonderful dimension to our range of existing services. To access our new team member call us on 6584 6177.

Kempsey services

We are happy to announce not only are we continuing to provide services in Kempsey we have now become a provider under the FaHCSIA Helping Children with Autism package under Kempsey Early Intervention.   Our OT Alanna is working with the brilliant team at Kempsey EI to provide specialist playgroups to the littlies in the area and to kids transitioning to school.  We are so excited to have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and in such a diverse and welcoming community.  To access the FaHCSIA programs contact Kempsey Early Intervention on 6562 6491 or to access our other Kempsey programs contact us on 6584 6177.

Spot on Kids Program

SPOT on Kids is a classroom skills program run by Occupational Therapist Alanna Seccombe.  Term 1 programs are under way for the 2 groups; Junior (K-2) and Senior (Yr 3-6).

Hastings Autism/Aspergers Resource Group (HAARG)

Meetings continue in 2010 on the first Thursday of the month at 10am-12pm.  Meetings are held at St Joseph's Family Services, Walters Street, Port Macquarie .

The next meeting is March 4th, 2010.
